Melyissa had looked out the window, she had just been told by her family that if she had joined any other church besides their church, she would be thrown out. That had torn Melyissa's heart apart as she was torn apart from her church family or her real family who would have nothing to do with her if she had joined a church.
"You are not to join the Mormons, I forbid you Mel, don't you think about it for one second!" Mel had remembered her father's words.
Tears formed her eyes as she packed all of her things, she would be homeless but she was not going to stay here and be torn apart from her family.
As Melyissa had boarded the bus, she had went to the church and was baptized, then Melyissa had grabbed for her passport and had given it to a man to show that she was leaving France forever, once she reached America, she would be free for once in her life.
"Oh God. If you're there, please help me be strong. Please help my family under stand why I had to do this" Melyissa had said as she then had closed her eyes and she knew that her life was going to be different for the rest of her life.

This story is so realisitic to what many people must to in order to join the church, but it is what brings them true happiness.
